VILLA CASCINA BOLLA • Studies at the end of the 20th century have confirmed that this 15th century rural building, remembered as an osteria, was once the home of Leonardo da Vinci while he was working at Santa Maria delle Grazie and was connected to Sforza Castle by way of a secret passage. All that remains of the old farmhouse after the bombings of World War II is the outline of the late-Gothic framework that recalls a sort of hunting lodge, which was restored and incorporated into this stunning, modern villa.
